I am looking for works by underrepresented composers who are:
- women
- racial minorities
- LGBTQ+
- (all genders) from regions normally not encountered in undergraduate theory textbooks
- Asia, Central Asia, Middle East, Australia, Eastern and Southern Europe, Scandinavia, Baltic and Balkan regions, Latin America.
- Modal music examples from everyone. Have a good Locrian example? Sent it!
Process for Submitting Examples
- Please email name, title of work, movement or number within piece if applicable, tempo marking if appropriate, and measure numbers.
- If there is an online link (such as a YouTube link), please include that as well so I can create a short excerpt and give the performers credit.
- Include the chapter or chapters that you would classify it under.
